I am not a big Celine Dion fan. Most of her songs are very soothing and soft numbers. While surfing the net, I found the Celine Dion singing the famous Christmas song "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire". It is classic song originally sang by Nat King Cole. If you want to hear the Nat King Cole version along with the Christmas lyrics then check it out here.

White Christmas- the classic Christmas song
Talk about all time hit Christmas songs, Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" is surely to be included in the list. I first heard the song when I was seven or eight year old kid and it was played at the Christmas party. This Christmas song was written by the American composer and lyricist Irving Berlin in early 1940. It is said that Berlin worked for whole night and the next morning he told his secretary-""Grab your pen and take down this song. I just wrote the best song I've ever written — hell, I just wrote the best song that anybody's ever written!"
It was Bing Crosby who first made the public performance of the song on Christmas, 1941 in his popular radio show The Kraft Music Hall but unfortunately the recording is said to have destroyed. He introduced this Christmas song in the 1942 musical Holiday Inn where he sang the song in a duet with Marjorie Reynolds. In the film, however, Reynolds' voice was dubbed by Martha Mears. Initially the song was not so popular but during the end of the year, it remained at the top of the charts for eleven long weeks. "White Christmas" went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Later in 1945 and 1946, it returned to the top of the charts, being the only song to be on the chart busters for three seasons. People are mainly familiar with the 1947 version of "White Christmas" that Crosby recorded in Decca studios due to the damage of the original record. However I have got the classic clip of the original "White Christmas" from the film Holiday Inn sung by Bing Crosby.
You can find the lyrics online. More than 50 million copies of this Christmas song by Crosby has been sold and in the Guiness Book of World records this song is listed as a 100million seller encompassing all versions of the song.

Frosty the snowman
Isn't it ironical that the most popular Christmas jingles have no mention of the Christmas in them? Think about 'Jingle bells' or hear 'Frosty the Snowman'. The later is a song about a snowman Frosty who comes to life by a magical hat that the children put on him and after some playful adventures “hurry on his way.” The writers of this song was Walter “Jack” Rollins and Steve Nelson and it was recorded by Gene Autry and Cass County boys in 1950. Here you can find the lyrics if anyone wants to learn it.
Can anyone please provide me with the original animated video of the song?

Jingle Bells - The Timeless Christmas Song
Christmas Song: Jingle Bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way...
You hear this classic Christmas song countless number of times, and still it does not bore you! In fact, you teach your children and grandchildren this Christmas song which was first sung in 1857 in a church in Savannah, GA. James Lord Pierpont (1822-1893) wrote the song for Thanksgiving service but it was so well accepted that it was again sung on Christmas and became the most famous Christmas jingle of all time.
The popularity of the song can be discerned from the fact that it is said to be first song played on space. On December 16,1965, astronauts Wally Schirra and Tom Stafford in the spaceship Gemini 6, played a prank on mission Control saying that they have seen an UFO with a “pilot in red suit”. Then the astronauts played “Jingle Bells” on harmonica along with the sleigh bells as background music.
I found a karaoke of this song in Youtube .

Classic Christmas Song: Frosty the Snow Man!
![]()
Remember Frosty? How can we forget! He might not be around now but when the snow comes he'd be right next to our house. I still remember how I used to be glued to the TV watching Frosty and singing along. But I'm familiar with the color version of Frosty not the black and white version. Thanks to the magic of You Tube here's the black and white Frosty. It's the classic version and I love the song. I love signing along. Why not sing Frosty in August? It's fun anytime!

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole is one of the classic songs and my favorite song. I love Nat King Cole.
Just so you can rewind and sing along I've searched the lyrics and pasted here. It's the exact lyrics. Who knows you can practice and sing at your school or community's Christmas special performance too!
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys
And goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
Refrain:
And so, I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said
Many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to.. You!
